FSU Sociologists Contemporary Society Issues Question

What have you learned thus far about the way sociologists approach the study of social problems? First, define the phrase “sociological imagination.” Then, explain the difference between personal troubles and public issues. In doing so, draw on at least 3 of the following topics to help demonstrate your understanding of what public issues face contemporary society: poverty, racial and ethnic inequality, gender inequality, sexual orientation and inequality, & aging and ageism. When you draw on these topics, refrain from injecting too much opinion into your argument-making; instead, focus on using evidence from the text, readings, and films to support your claims and explicate your points.
