Choosing an Issue in an Organization
Decide on a human services issue you will be pursuing for your course project and whether you will be using simulated data from this course’s media River bank or data from a different organization. Choose a local or state human services organization. Avoid using a national or international organization as their data may be difficult to locate.
Note that data information may only be accessible through the organization’s website or other online resources, and may or may not be available in the library. Make sure that you have access to enough information about the organization’s data and reporting so you are able to use it in a more formal analysis for assignments.
Submit your problem or issue and organization to your instructor. If you will be using outside data sets, provide links as appropriate or explain the data you will be using to support your investigation of the problem.
