Module 5: Paired Sample Ttest
Module Introduction
This week turn our attention to a paired sample t-test. This test is usually the most widely known (or at least most students understand the concept) because it applies to situations where we have a pre/post test data. To be sure, there are other ways we can use this type of test, but most are familiar with the pre/post test design. Keep in mind, since this is a ttest, we are again looking for differences in means!
Module Learning Objectives
1.Articulate when and why a researcher would use a paired sample ttest.
2.List the assumptions of a paired sample ttest
3.Calculate paired sample ttest in SPSS
4.Interpret the outputs of a paired sample ttest
5.Identify the type of research questions where a paired sample ttest is appropriate
