Examining a pane of glass that has been struck by high-speed projectiles can sometimes lead the forensic investigator to determine the order of the fire shots. High-speed projectiles will form craters in glass that is larger on the exit side of the glass; radial cracks are cracks that radiate out in all directions from the point of impact and concentric cracks appear on the side of the direction of the impact. Radial cracks will stop when they meet other cracks in the glass.
