Throughout this module, you studied the topic of eminent domain,
which is the power to take private property, without permission from the
owner, for public use by a state, municipality or private person or
authorized corporation, following the payment of just compensation to
the owner of that property.

For this written assignment, in a 2-3 page paper, locate an example of eminent domain and:

• Share a summary of what happened.
• Discuss whether you think the taking of the property from your example is fair. Why or Why not?
• Should the government be able to take your property through the process of eminent domain? Why or Why not?
