Background:

Literature reviews, a key component of research methods, indeed it calls for a high degree of academic maturity. A literature review may consist of simply a summary of key sources, but in the engineering, a literature review usually has a structural outline and combines both summary and synthesis, often within specific conceptual categories/themes. By synthesising you are expected to reorganize, or a reshuffling, of that information in a way that informs how you are planning to investigate a research problem. In addition to exhibiting the depth of your reading, they help demonstrate your grasp in the chosen research area.

Task:

In this coursework, Provide a report on critical review of literature on a research “Issues of Power Quality in Electrical System”. Following steps to be followed to prepare report:

• Collect appropriate resources ranging from journal papers, government reports, relevant standards, review of manufacturers’ data and other secondary data sources related to “Issues of Power Quality in Electrical System”.
• Within the main topic choose 5 relevant themes/sub-headings for discussion and review analysis.
• For each theme/ sub-heading present analysis of minimum 4 articles. (minimum 3 Journals + 1 any other sources)
• Report should mention research gaps in themes/ sub-headings and appropriate conclusion.
